3/48 : Sunset
We attended a forum on the 50th year of Mga Agos sa Disyerto, a compilation of works of five writers who dared to use Filipino in writing short stories when most of their contemporaries used English. More than the choice of language, their stories described the inequalities of our society. They did not only dare to use OUR language, they dared to use OUR real stories. I hope to write a blog post about this forum soon.
After attending the forum and listening to breakthrough and nationalist writers, Rogelio Ordonez, Efren Abueg, Epifanio San Juan Jr. and Bienvinido Lumbera, my husband and I set up the tripod near the forum's venue and waited to take a nice sunset shot. Here's what we captured :
More sunset photoshoot and more Philippine literature in my book list this year!

ReplyI really love this week's entries... All sunset shots are just awesome! Your photo has magically transformed a usual busy place to a very peaceful one. :)
Replyang ganda ng sunset :) at na-excite ako sa book list mo. share ko rin - i'm reading Nick Joaquin's A Question of Heroes. Let me know if you're including it in your reading para may makausap ako about it, haha!
ReplyI think that the sun's reflection on water always makes for a prettier sunset photo. Love this one! :D
